  • Japanese Cast Iron Shabu Shabu Pot Sukiyaki Iron Nabe 11in. Dimension: 11in Dia x 3-1/8in H * Enameled Inner Surface for Easy Cleaning * Serving 4-5 people * 1 Wooden Lid & 1 Wooden Base are Included * * Nabemono (nabe cooking pot + mono things, stuffs, kinds) or simply called Nabe, is a term referring to all varieties of Japanese steamboat dishes, also known as one pot dishes. The pots are traditionally made of clay ( donabe) which can keep warm for a while after taken off from the fire or cast thick iron ( tetsunabe) which evenly distribute heat and preferably used for sukiyaki. The pots are usually placed in the center of dinning tables, shared by multiple persons. Most nabemono are stews and soups served during the colder seasons. In modern Japan, nabemono are kept hot at the dining table by portable stoves. The dish is frequently cooked at the table, and the diners can pick the cooked ingredients they want from the pot. It is either eaten with the broth or with a dip. Further ingredients can also be successively added to the pot. Eating together from a shared pot is considered as an important feature of nabemono; East Asian people believe that eating from one pot makes a closer relationship. The Japanese thus say, Nabe (w)o kakomu (sitting around the pot), implying that sharing nabemono will create warm relations between the diners who eat together from the shared pot.

Cameron's Products Tri-Ply 12-Quart Stock Pot with Stainless-Steel Lid Excellent quality pot

Quality Pot for a reasonable price., (What's this?) I've had this pot for several months now, and have used it to make chowders, Sunday gravy, and boil potatoes.
Excellent Pot, (What's this?) What makes this pot so remarkable is the full-body, triple ply aluminum. No hot spots. Beautiful and well-made.
Excellent quality pot, (What's this?) I have converted all my cookware to stainless and have been very happy with Calphalon tri-ply which I have in the 8 qt size. When searching for the 12 qt size I noticed the Caphalon was NOT tri-ply. There is so-o much difference in the cooking between the tri-ply and just the stainless covered bottom piece. The tri-ply cooks much more evenly. I chose the Camerons pot strictly for the tri-ply feature. When the pot came I was delighted with the quality. Overall, the pot is the same height as the 8 qt. Not too tall-just right.
Lifetime Stock Pot, (What's this?) This stock pot is extremely well made and is of professional quality. I am so happy that I purchased it.

Every well stocked kitchen should come equipped with a large-size cooking pot. Measuring about 11-1/2 inches wide by 8-1/2 inches high, this rugged stock pot makes a nice choice, holding up to 12 quarts of anything from homemade vegetable stock, chicken-noodle soup, a slow simmering stew, or hot water for boiling potatoes or corn on the cob. The cookware's full-body triple-ply construction consists of high-quality 18/10 stainless steel for fast, even heating with no hot spots. Furthermore, food cooks in half the time, which means a 50-percent energy savings. The pot's secure-fitting, stainless-steel lid, complete with a riveted loop handle, helps trap in heat, moisture, and nutrients, while side-mounted riveted loop handles stay cool to the touch on the stovetop and offer secure lifting with oven mitts. Emeril Stainless Steel 8-Quart Tall Stock Pot with Lid

Great pot for fair price, (What's this?) Very sturdy, wonderful useful size, and a good value for the money. Don't spend extra for the similar All Clad pot. This one is fabulous.
Great pot for large meals, (What's this?) Really like this pot - holds a lot and you can see the copper base - i had purchased an Emmerill pot that was one size smaller and i dont see the copper banding on hte base -makes me wonder if it is there.
Big por for big meals, (What's this?) My wife bought a 10 piece set of Emerilware and when we had a family gathering, decided that she needed a bigger pot. This was a good time because I had no idea what to get her for Christmas. She opened this on Christmas Eve and used it Christmas Day and was very happy with it. Thanks Emeril.
Cheap because, It's made in China. All-Clad may market the Emeril brand and may have even made some of it but this stock pot is Chinese. That explains why it's do thin, light, and cheap. I called the Al Clad/Emeril consumer information line and verified this. There's no telling what goes into the metal China exports. I'll stick with US made when I cook my family's food in it.
Versatile and sturdy, This pot has been a great addition to my cookware collection. I like that it's tall rather than wide - it fits perfectly on the burner. The thick base, with copper, hasn't warped...it sits flat on the burner and allows heat to transfer quickly. The handles, though metal, stay cool. A nice touch is the inside is marked with liquid measures, in half-quart and half-liter increments.
Love this stock pot, I bought this pot about a year ago. It's the first time I've spent this much money on one pot and the first Emeril cookware I've owned. I absolutely love it. It heats up quickly, and maintains an even heat. The handles are still cool after simmering soup for over an hour. (Lid handle gets hot, tho). And when I pour out of it, no dribbles! I even use it when one of my smaller no stick pots will do just because I like the speed that it heats. Am planning to buy some more to replace my non-stick pans, one by one as they wear out.
Nice size and design but very poor quality, (What's this?) After one use the coating at the bottom of the pot started to peel off. I returned the item and requested a replacement. Today the new pot arrived with a scratch at the bottom and some indentations on the sides. I will request a refund this time.
still a good deal, (What's this?) I read Tony "Fuzzbass"'s review with much trepidation because, like him, I had bought this stockpot in its previous incarnation and found it to be an excellent bargain. I was disappointed, but not surprised, when I got my new one to find that it had been redesigned (or should I say de-designed) just as he had described. Not only is it less substantial than before, but the handles are significantly less comfortable and cheaper-feeling. Even so, having scoured Amazon from top to bottom, I think this pot is still a good bargain, and it's serviceable for those of us who don't feel like dropping $200 or whatever on a single pot and who don't have extremely exacting stovetops to deal with.
valerie, (What's this?) The appearance and heft of this stock pot is wonderful. I was
prepared to collect other pieces of Emeril cookware until I
read on the box that it was made in China.
Less metal, same low price!, (What's this?) I purchased a 14 piece Emeril Stainless set in 2008, and I have been very happy with it. The fit, finish and especially the base design were all up to the demands of my GE Profile ceramic cooktop, which had mercilessly warped all pans that came before the Emeril set. At the time, the Emeril Stainless was an excellent alternative to spending megabucks on All Clad.

I recently purchased this 8 qt tall stock pot.

    All-Clad Stainless 6-Quart Stockpot

All-Clad Stainless 6-Quart Stockpot - Love it! A+++++, Both the 6 and 8 quart stockpots are must haves for your All Clad cookware collection. The 6 is great for sauce, a pound of lasagna or rigatoni, soup or stew and the 8 quart is a must have for my favorite meatballs that I cook in my sauce with sausage and steak. At first I didn't think I would need both but now that I do I can imagine doing all the Italian cooking that I do with out them. I can get my sauce and meatballs cooking in the 8 quart and start boiling lasagna noodles in the 6 quart. I love them both. These pans are made very well, heat evenly, are very easy to clean and are designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware (backed by a lifetime warranty). This pan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!...
How do I love thee All-Clad Stockpot?, Have you ever felt just a tiny bit foolish about telling people how much you enjoy using a piece of cookware? Well, people are used to hearing me rave about this stockpot.

I have had this pot for many years and have cooked literally hundreds of times in it. I bought it in the first place because I found out about All-Clad and bought one skillet. From there I went to a sauce pan, then a larger sauce pan, and so the story goes. The shape of this pot caught my eye because it is wide instead of being tall yet has a 6 quart capacity. All my other stockpots are so tall that I honestly have trouble reaching all the way to the bottom of the pot for browning meats and veggies. I bought this one, took it home and have used it at least twice a week ever since. I have definitely gotten value for my money with this brand of cookware. It looks brand new. There is not a mark on it, inside or out, and it cooks like a dream. Let me say here that I am an old fashioned cook. I would never even consider putting one of my pots or pans in a dishwasher. That's my own little foible and is no reflection on anyone who utilizes their dishwasher, but this pot has always been hand washed. Some of my other All-Clad pieces get a little shine up from time to time with a stainless steel cleaner, but this stockpot has never needed that. I make lots of soups, stews, chili's, and dried beans because I can freeze the remainder and have a loaded freezer with my choice of proportioned foods for later. This pot is perfect for that.
Fits my needs to a Tee! Buy It!, I got this pot to replace an old 5 quart teflon lined aluminum pot of similar shape but with plastic handles, which kept it from the oven without extraordinary measures. The old pot simply did not heat up very quickly or evenly and it's dark interior made it more difficult to see what was going on with braises or pasta cooking.

So, I was often lugging out my 8 quart Le Creuset dutch oven when the smaller lighter pot would be the perfect size, but for the plastic handles.

I have used it a few times since receiving it, and it meets every expectation, even outperforming a similarly sized 5 quart Calphalon pan which was my old favorite when I bunked with a gas range.

This is an incredibly uselfu size and shape, and worth the cost if you cook a lot.

    Highly recommended.
'TIS THE SEASON FOR SOUPS AND STEWS, Nothing tastes better on a blustery winter's day than a steaming bowl of homemade soup or stew. And, nothing is better to prepare it in than this All-Clad Stockpot. It seems that a stockpot is one kitchen item that never wears out, so I'd been making do with what we had.
great pot, This is a very useful pot for just about anything - pasta - soup - frying spinach and other leafy vegetables - stewing - I never put it away - it's always on my stove top.
My pasta pot!!!, I use this pot for cooking pasta. I have the multicooker, but this is a better size for one person. It's much easier to manage. As with all things All Clad, it has superior heating technology -- heats fast and evenly. Clean up is a breeze because it's dishwasher safe. A little polish keeps it bright and shiny.
Awesome Do It All Pot, (What's this?) We use the 6-qt pot for everything. In fact I wish I had gotten it before anything else. If I were starting out equipping a kitchen from scratch again, I would start here instead of the 12" frying pan I got first. It keeps the mess in the pot better than a frying pan.
Typical All-Clad Pot, (What's this?) Well built, pot. My only gripe is that it is expensive for what you get. Since I got this on a great deal, I guess I got some value for my money.

All-Clad is great, but if you really want to get some value for your money, pick out the items that you want and wait for some sort of close-out or super deal. Otherwise, you are paying a lot for the name.

Granite Ware 11 5/8 Quart Tamale and Menudo Pot with Insert

  • Great for cooking tamales.11-1/2-quart.Cleans up easily with warm soapy water. No chemicals to alter food's taste.Constructed of low carbon steel. This 11.5 Qt pan is constructed of low carbon steel with glass coating. The glass like surface is inert and does not react with or alter the taste of food, color or healthfullness. Even the most stubborn foods clean up easily with warm soapy water. The porcelain surface will protect the flavor of delicate dishes and creates a durable, chip resistant pot that lasts most families a lifetime. Perfect for cooking tamales and menudos. Comes with insert. Porcelain enamel is the result of fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 750 and 850 degrees Celsius. The powder melts and flows and hardens to a durable vitreous coating on a carbon steel core. It creates a smooth, hard finish that won’t burn and resists staining. It’s also non -porous so it won’t trap odors or food particles and provides a low coefficient of friction – meaning that it cleans up easily and, it is corrosion and chemically resistant so it will last a long time.

Berndes Cucinare Induction Stainless Steel 9.1 Quart Stock Pot with Lid

Berndes products, (What's this?) I needed a larger pan (or pot) to go with the set of Berndes products that I bought for my induction cook top. This one is very nice, but actually a little to big for my occasional use. Unfortionally there is a big jump in size from the one that came in my set up to this one. Dont get me wrong, the quality of the pots and pans Berndes makes are VERY NICE and good quality, but, I wish there was a size in-between this huge pot and the next size down.
    Excellent pot., (What's this?)

  • 9-quart stainless steel stock pot with lid; measures 11 inches in diameter
  • Tempered glass lid features an air vent as well as stainless steel knob; cast aluminum handles
  • Made from mirror-polished, scratch-resistant 18/10 stainless steel with encapsulated thick aluminum base for even heating
  • Dishwasher safe, though hand washing recommended; limited lifetime warranty

Farberware Classic 16-Quart Stainless-Steel Stockpot with Lid

Beauty and the Feast, (What's this?) We often make large pots of "Sunday gravy" and this pot does the best job of the many we've used over the years. It's roomy enough for 12 cans of tomatoes (yes, 12!) and 6 pounds of meatballs.
Excellent Chicken Soup, I know how much the pot influences how chicken soup will come out and this pot made really good soup!! Very happy.
Best Stock Pot, (What's this?) Great stock pot! I use it for a variety of things....from making lots of chile, chicken soup, bean soup to boiling lots of pasta and much more. I've even cooked (fried) 12 pounds of ground beef in it. The pot is super easy to clean too. The lid fits very well. Yesterday I put 13 lbs of pork tenderloin and 8 large cans of sauerkraut in the pot. Covered with water and simmered for 4 hrs. I put in the refrigerator and will finish cooking this afternoon for tonight's dinner. So easy! You will love it so just go ahead and buy it.
Love this stockpot!, (What's this?) I am in love with this thing.
Our Favorite Stockpot, (What's this?) We use this stockpot several times every week -- for cheese, soup, applesauce, etc. It is wonderful! It heats nice and evenly and we've never burned anything. Highly recommended.
Excellent Stainless Steel cookware, (What's this?) One more piece of Farberware for our collection. Great Value. Was in use first day it arrived.
greatest stockpot ever, (What's this?) I was looking for a stainless pot to make tomato juice, vegatable juice, salsa . After reading reviews on this product I was convinced it was the pot for me. Am NOT dissapointed..I received the pot and in the next three weeks, I canned 85 quarts of juice, salsa. Does NOT burn contents. Heavy bottom plate makes cooking even. Great price and free shipping was a bonus. Completely satisfied.
One terrific Stock Pot, (What's this?) I wanted to get a large stock pot for making sauce, meatballs, soups and the like.
Great for large batches, (What's this?) This pot is a lifesaver for me as it never boils over. I can cook big batches of pasta or soup and leave it simmering without worry. I have 5 teenage sons so do alot of cooking. The quality is excellent.
What a pot!, (What's this?) I actually purchased this pot a few years back and totally forgot to write a review. I feel it is very well made and let me tell you, I have made quite a few pots of soup in this since I received it. The only thing I would like to tell you is it is unusually bottom heavy. That is probably a big plus in cooking but just be aware of this fact when picking up the pot or washing it.

The pot is made of 18/10 stainless steel and its tight-fitting lid helps to keep moisture in, preventing vitamins and the flavors of the foods from escaping. Aesthetically, this professional looking cookware will nicely complement many different kitchen styles.

    Granite Ware 15-1/2-Quart Stock Pot

Large Chip in Bottom, (What's this?) Pot is unusable for its intended task thanks to the finish coming off on the inside.
    Not as advertised., (What's this?)
came with defect, (What's this?) This pot came with a small chip inside and with a tiny rust spot, so I had to throw it out because I could not make cottage cheese in it (to leave skim milk for a long time)- the sense ot enameled cookware is well protection.
Not for glass top stoves., Pot will burn everything cooked in it if used on a glass top stove due to thin bottom. Great value and worked fine with previous stoves.
This was a gift..., (What's this?) Order came fast, packaged well, and this size is really big! and to think I almost got her the 32oz one. That would have been way to big.

I can't say ho well it holds up or cooks cause it wasn't used while i was there.
As advertised, (What's this?) So far, so good. Exactly as expected. The size is just right for camping trips, can pack things in it to save space and does not add much weight.
Not for use with glasstops, (What's this?) This is a big pot and perfect for making soups and sauces. However, if you have a glasstop stove you'll just have to send it back. I wish this had been in the ad (since it is for many other pots) because I wouldn't have wasted my money on this one. If you have a regular range though I would recommend it. It's an inexpensive pot for lots of cooking creations.
Nice, basic, stock pot, (What's this?) I needed this for boiling down chicken bones into broth, or simmering large batches of sauces for home canning. Works as you'd expect it to. Thin bottom, so if you need to use more than medium heat with it, I recommend a heat spreader.
Chips easily?, (What's this?) As soon as this pot came I was happy and ready to make chicken noodle soup, but there was a chip of white stuff missing.

This is your grandmother's pot--and her grandmother's, too. There are good reasons this black porcelain-on-steel cookware, with its classic granitelike styling, proves popular generation after generation. It's inexpensive, lightweight but sturdy, won't rust or corrode, and cleans easily. And it lasts a lifetime and beyond. This big pot is perfect for simmering broths, soups, and sauces; for boiling lots of pasta when the whole family arrives; for steaming heaps of vegetables; and for canning. The pot stands 12 inches high and is 11-1/4 inches in diameter.

Granite Ware 21 Quart Tamale Pot with Insert

Nice pan, (What's this?) The pan was just what I expected. Really like to use enamelware for wet applications, have several pans in different sizes. Wasn't packaged well so it got a dent & chip in the lid. It will eventually rust there, but didn't think it was a big enough deal to send it back. If it had been the pan dented, it would have went back. The insert is a wire rack not a piece of metal with holes like others I have seen. Had to put my grill pizza pan with holes over it to keep my tamales from dropping through the rack. I stand them up instead of laying them down on their sides. Very pleased with it, gave 4 stars because of the chip.

The technology for apply porcelain creates a durable, chip resistant product that lasts most families a lifetime. The glass like surface is inert and does not react with or alter the taste of food and even the most stubborn foods clean up easily with warm soapy water.

Paula Deen Enamel on Steel 16 Quart Stockpot, Red

Poor Quality, (What's this?) Had to return this because the enamel was chipped badly! I should have paid attention to the previous revues.
Threw our money away as well as our food, Despite 12 quarts of broth, food stuck to bottom. Burnt and destroyed the enamel.
Beautiful but Burns!!, Purchased this stock pot and it is a very beautiful piece. It seams to burn whatever you are cooking in whether it is pasta or soup. Not so easy to clean, let it soak for a day or so.
Burns food and stuck to stove top, After buying this pot thinking it would be great for soups and chili, I found that everything burns very easily in it. The second time I used it, the enamel on the bottom stuck to my stove at low heat while cooking chili and came off with the burner attached. The burner is ruined and the pot has a huge chunk missing out of the bottom now. I wouldn't recommend this pot to anyone when I can probably buy some cheap off brand pot at a dollar store that is better quality.
Paula Deen 16 Qt. Stockpot, (What's this?) This is a nice pot for soup, making spaghetti sauce or to use for canning tomato juice. It is good for streaming shrimp and cooking just about anything for a large family. Easily to clean.
Set off the smoke detector, My wife, who is a great cook, used this for the first time tonight, and we had to throw out 16 quarts of soup that was going to be our meals during the upcoming work week. All the vegetables and pasta burned to the bottom of the pot and it started smoking bad enough to set off the smoke detector. We make a lot of soups and stews, and have never had this happen before.
HOT! HOT! HOT!, Beautiful pot, got it at a reduced price, but the lid and handles get super hot! I was surprised, I thought everyone making cookware knew this should be a priority. I still use it all the time, it's perfect for my soup and chili.
Best stock pot I ever owned., Nice looking finish and excellent interior. I always recommend spraying bottom of pot with pam or butter before placing anything in it. I just cooked sausage, onions, peppers and ragu sauce for two hours and it rinsed out easily. NO scrubbing for this recipe. I got a super $30 deal at Big Lots on this however I still would have paid the $50 price. It's going to be around when you are gone. Very happy with it.
Impossible to clean, It cannot be used for canning purposes. Everything seems to burn in it. I tried to make homemade ketchup in it and the entire bottom is black even though I used low heat. I have soaked it now for 3 days with laundry detergent, oxyclean, baking soda, vinegar,Dawn detergent, etc. and nothing has helped. I'll have to ruin it to get the black debris out of it. I bought 2 of them and wasted my money.
Don't buy this pot!!!, I love Paula Deen's pots and love my set but this pot is horrible. From the beginning it burned everything I cooked in it. I read the instructions and did not ever put extreme temperature water or anything in it. As of today, it's in the trash due to it basically exploding on me. White stuff popped like popcorn when i put warm water in the warm pot. Hated this pot from the beginning. Have all her other things and love them but no one waste money or their eyes on this one.
