All-Clad Stainless 6-Quart Stockpot - Love it! A+++++, Both the 6 and 8 quart stockpots are must haves for your All Clad cookware collection. The 6 is great for sauce, a pound of lasagna or rigatoni, soup or stew and the 8 quart is a must have for my favorite meatballs that I cook in my sauce with sausage and steak. At first I didn't think I would need both but now that I do I can imagine doing all the Italian cooking that I do with out them. I can get my sauce and meatballs cooking in the 8 quart and start boiling lasagna noodles in the 6 quart. I love them both. These pans are made very well, heat evenly, are very easy to clean and are designed to last. All Clad cookware is one of the most expensive lines around and it is worth every penny, it really is lifetime cookware (backed by a lifetime warranty). This pan is a definite must have. Very, very highly recommended! A+++!...
How do I love thee All-Clad Stockpot?, Have you ever felt just a tiny bit foolish about telling people how much you enjoy using a piece of cookware? Well, people are used to hearing me rave about this stockpot.
I have had this pot for many years and have cooked literally hundreds of times in it. I bought it in the first place because I found out about All-Clad and bought one skillet. From there I went to a sauce pan, then a larger sauce pan, and so the story goes. The shape of this pot caught my eye because it is wide instead of being tall yet has a 6 quart capacity. All my other stockpots are so tall that I honestly have trouble reaching all the way to the bottom of the pot for browning meats and veggies. I bought this one, took it home and have used it at least twice a week ever since. I have definitely gotten value for my money with this brand of cookware. It looks brand new. There is not a mark on it, inside or out, and it cooks like a dream. Let me say here that I am an old fashioned cook. I would never even consider putting one of my pots or pans in a dishwasher. That's my own little foible and is no reflection on anyone who utilizes their dishwasher, but this pot has always been hand washed. Some of my other All-Clad pieces get a little shine up from time to time with a stainless steel cleaner, but this stockpot has never needed that. I make lots of soups, stews, chili's, and dried beans because I can freeze the remainder and have a loaded freezer with my choice of proportioned foods for later. This pot is perfect for that.
Fits my needs to a Tee! Buy It!, I got this pot to replace an old 5 quart teflon lined aluminum pot of similar shape but with plastic handles, which kept it from the oven without extraordinary measures. The old pot simply did not heat up very quickly or evenly and it's dark interior made it more difficult to see what was going on with braises or pasta cooking.
So, I was often lugging out my 8 quart Le Creuset dutch oven when the smaller lighter pot would be the perfect size, but for the plastic handles.
I have used it a few times since receiving it, and it meets every expectation, even outperforming a similarly sized 5 quart Calphalon pan which was my old favorite when I bunked with a gas range.
This is an incredibly uselfu size and shape, and worth the cost if you cook a lot.
Highly recommended.
'TIS THE SEASON FOR SOUPS AND STEWS, Nothing tastes better on a blustery winter's day than a steaming bowl of homemade soup or stew. And, nothing is better to prepare it in than this All-Clad Stockpot. It seems that a stockpot is one kitchen item that never wears out, so I'd been making do with what we had.
great pot, This is a very useful pot for just about anything - pasta - soup - frying spinach and other leafy vegetables - stewing - I never put it away - it's always on my stove top.
My pasta pot!!!, I use this pot for cooking pasta. I have the multicooker, but this is a better size for one person. It's much easier to manage. As with all things All Clad, it has superior heating technology -- heats fast and evenly. Clean up is a breeze because it's dishwasher safe. A little polish keeps it bright and shiny.
Awesome Do It All Pot, (What's this?) We use the 6-qt pot for everything. In fact I wish I had gotten it before anything else. If I were starting out equipping a kitchen from scratch again, I would start here instead of the 12" frying pan I got first. It keeps the mess in the pot better than a frying pan.
Typical All-Clad Pot, (What's this?) Well built, pot. My only gripe is that it is expensive for what you get. Since I got this on a great deal, I guess I got some value for my money.
All-Clad is great, but if you really want to get some value for your money, pick out the items that you want and wait for some sort of close-out or super deal. Otherwise, you are paying a lot for the name.

This excludes damage from misuse or abuse. Minor imperfections and slight color variations are normal. Cleaning Instructions For daily cleaning, warm soapy water is sufficient. Clean your All-Clad thoroughly after each use. Food films left of the pan may cause discoloration and sticking. To get rid of stuck-on food or discoloration and stains from using too high of a heat, we recommend cleaning your All-Clad with a product called Bar Keepers Friend. To use the Bar Keepers Friend, simply use a soft cloth or sponge and water and make into a soupy paste.
